Wellington Law Firm Stephens Lawyers Appoints Jane Traynor
Wellington law firm Stephens Lawyers today announced that Jane Traynor has joined the firm as a staff lawyer.
Prior to joining Stephens Lawyers, Jane worked in Auckland as a litigation solicitor before travelling to London in 2005. During her time in London Jane gained further litigation experience in top tier firms and government departments, including the Serious Fraud Office and for the Companies Investigation Branch Insolvency Service, as well as qualifying as a Solicitor in England and Wales.
Stephens Lawyers founder Michael Stephens, a leading film and entertainment lawyer said, “Jane’s experience and expertise will complement the range of legal services the firm offers its clients.
She will specialise in employment law, civil litigation and family law, and will also work with the firm’s film and entertainment clients.”
Educated at Kings College in Auckland, Jane has a BA majoring in Criminology from Victoria University of Wellington and completed her LLB at the University of Auckland in 2002; she was admitted to the Bar in 2003.
Jane is a member of Women in Film and Television, the NZ Law Society’s Family Law Section and the Wellington Women Lawyers Association. She has previously worked in a voluntary capacity as a legal advisor at Citizens Advice Bureaux in Auckland.
