A million reasons to holiday in Asia from $5
AirAsia is giving New Zealanders a million reasons to holiday in Asia this year from just $5.
From tomorrow (22 February), the airline which flies to more then 70 destinations in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Macau, Vietnam, Laos, Philippines, Brunei, Myanmar, South Korea, India and Singapore, is putting Asia on sale with flights from $5.
For one week only, New Zealanders will be able to buy one of the million seats AirAsia has on sale for travel between 13 September 2011 and 29 February 2012.
AirAsia X, the long-haul affiliate airline of AirAsia, the world’s leading and largest long-haul low-cost airline, begins flying out of Christchurch direct to Kuala Lumpur on 1 April. The airline will fly from Christchurch four times weekly.
AirAsia X Head of Commercial Darren Wright says Asia has never been so affordable for New Zealanders. “You can fly from Kuala Lumpur to Penang for just $5, Langkawi from $10, Singapore from $14, Bangkok, Phuket and Jakarta from $23 and Bail from $33 .
“There is a whole new world in Asia that is both affordable and easily accessible for all Kiwis to explore and for just a few dollars. With AirAsia, there is no excuse, everyone can travel to Asia and experience somewhere quite different and a new part of the Asian culture.”
During the sale, AirAsia X has flights from Christchurch to Kuala Lumpur from $370, Christchurch to Paris from $709 and to London from $719; Christchurch to Taipei from $529 and Christchurch to New Delhi or Mumbai from $539, from travel from 13 September to 10 November 2011.
“For just a few dollars more passengers can pre-pay and save up to 20 per cent on baggage and meals.”
He says travelers need to hurry as at these prices the million seats will sell fast.
For travelers from New Zealand wanting greater comfort, AirAsia X is offering its premium seats for only NZ$890 from Christchurch to Kuala Lumpur during the sale. Premium seat guests enjoy complimentary products and services including Pick A Seat, Priority Check-in, Priority Boarding, Priority Baggage, Baggage Allowance, a delicious Combo Meal and Comfort Kit with pillow and blanket.
