InterCity challenges New Zealanders to get out and explore their own country with the launch of InterCity flexitrips
InterCity Coachlines has today launched flexitrips.co.nz, a new ‘hop on hop off’ trip based transport pass and hopes that more Kiwis will take up the challenge of exploring their own country.
Enabling travellers to explore New Zealand with ease and at a price they can afford, flexitrips.co.nz brings together InterCity’s extensive national coach network plus selected sightseeing tours and cruises operated by GreatSights New Zealand, Fullers GreatSights Bay of Islands and the Interislander ferry.
“flexitrips gives Kiwis another great option to explore all that our country has to offer without having the hassle of driving or the expense of today’s high petrol prices.” says InterCity Group’s General Manager of Marketing and Online Sales Daniel Rode. “flexitrips is simple to use and gives travellers the freedom and flexibility to explore New Zealand at their own pace.”
Starting from just $156 for 5 trips anywhere across the country within a 12 month period, flexitrips passes are sold in multiples of 5 trips making them ideal for family and friends visiting the country for the Rugby World Cup.
Trips are based on individual journeys, with each time the traveller boards a new coach counting as a trip. Itineraries can remain flexible with coach amendments permitted up to 2hrs prior to departure without penalty.
flexitrips itineraries can be self managed online at flexitrips.co.nz or via over 400 retail agents nationwide including the i-SITE visitor information network, backpackers hostels and other accommodation providers.
Daniel adds: “Many New Zealanders have not had the opportunity to experience the best of what is right on their doorstep because it is too difficult and expensive to do so.
“flexitrips has made New Zealand more accessible for everyone to enjoy and is sure to be a hit with international visitors during Rugby world Cup later this year. Travellers can jump aboard one of our coaches and strike up conversations with like minded travellers both from New Zealand and overseas as well taking in our spectacular scenery.”
