Kirsty Cameron joins NZ Magazines
New Zealand Magazines today announced a senior appointment with Kirsty Cameron joining the company next month in the newly established role of Editorial Director, Lifestyle Titles.
NZ Magazines’ Publisher and CEO, Sarah Sandley, says she was delighted to be welcoming Kirsty to NZ Magazines, which has experienced dramatic growth in the past year.
“With the licensing of Pacific Magazines’ titles in October 2010, our magazine portfolio has almost doubled,” says Sarah Sandley. “To our stable of the New Zealand Woman’s Weekly, the New Zealand Listener, Creme and the Simply You titles, we have added New Idea, That’s Life! and Girlfriend.
“In addition we have a strong roster of custom-published titles so it was timely to bring in an experienced senior publisher with an excellent career record in both magazine publishing and business management.”
Kirsty comes to NZ Magazines (a division of APN News & Media) after three years running a public relations and communication consultancy. Prior to that she worked at senior levels in magazine publishing for 15 years in Australia and New Zealand, and was the Australian launch editor of Time Inc’s fashion flagship title, In Style
She will work closely with Sarah Sandley in managing NZ Magazines’ existing lifestyle titles and developing further editorial and commercial opportunities for the division.
