Kiwibank Slashes One-Year Home Loan Rate

Kiwibank Slashes One-Year Home Loan Rate

17 January 2011

Kiwibank has today cut its one-year home loan rate by .30% from 6.45% p.a to 6.15% p.a.

The rate cut is being promoted as a “special” and will only be held for a limited time.

Kiwibank Communications Manager Bruce Thompson said the bank was looking to kick-start the New Year with a very attractive mortgage rate. The new one-year rate matches the bank’s floating rate and is aimed at both new borrowers and those seeking to refinance existing loans.

“It has been some time since there has been any significant changes to interest rates, so Kiwibank is testing the market with a cut-rate one year offer. We anticipate holding the rate until the end of the month,” Mr Thompson said.
