Accor Adds Prime Christchurch Hotel to Its Network

Accor Adds Prime Christchurch Hotel to Its Network

Hotel formerly known as Hotel So to be re-branded as an All Seasons hotel

The hotel formerly known as Hotel So is to join Accor’s rapidly growing global brand, All Seasons. It will be re-launched as All Seasons Christchurch Cashel Street.

The hotel is Accor’s fourth hotel in Christchurch, joining Novotel Christchurch on Cathedral Square, Ibis Christchurch and All Seasons Christchurch. It will be Accor’s 28th hotel in New Zealand.

The hotel is located in the heart of the Christchurch city centre, within a short stroll of Cathedral Square and most of the city’s major attractions. The hotel was launched three years ago and offers stylish, contemporary accommodation, a street-front café and bar, gymnasium and saunas, conference rooms and relaxation areas.

The All Seasons offers 284 rooms in a wide range of configurations from single to family rooms – all at highly-affordable rates.

Announcing the signing of the hotel, Accor’s Vice President New Zealand, Paul Richardson, said: “Accor is the world’s leading operator of economy hotel brands and with the re-branding of the hotel to All Seasons we believe we can attract a more extensive market from both within New Zealand and internationally.

“All Seasons is already a prominent hotel brand in Australia and has been operating in Auckland for a few years now, and globally it is expanding rapidly in key source markets for New Zealand such as Britain, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Italy. The brand is also set for major growth in Asia.

“It is an excellent hotel for the Christchurch market because it can cater for such a wide range of guests in a central city location.

“The new branding will help contribute to Christchurch’s tourism recovery since the earthquake disrupted the city in September and give impetus for 2011. With new airline services, the Rugby World Cup and a still-attractive exchange rate we are very optimistic about future prospects for the Canterbury region.”
