Making It Big – Mobile Made Easy
Introducing the Doro PhoneEasy 410 gsm
You can rely on the Swedish to make things user-friendly, yet desirable and functional - even in the fast paced realm of telecommunications.
Doro, a Swedish company, has come up with a revolutionary idea within the mobile phone industry: simplicity. And millions of seniors around the world are hearing its call.
“A few years ago, we noticed something no one else seemed to – that despite all the new technology enabling people to get and stay connected, somebody was being overlooked. That somebody was a group of 500 million seniors around the world,” says Andrew Batchelor, Australia & New Zealand General Manager for Doro.
“While young adopters want new apps, functions and designs every few months, senior phone users are increasingly put off from purchasing mobile phones because they have small keypads, hard-to-read fonts and complicated functionality.”
The Doro PhoneEasy 410gsm is now available exclusively through TelstraClear - specially designed and adapted for use by seniors:
EASIER TO SEE: clear, high-contrast displays and functions that support reduced vision, such as big buttons and large type.
EASIER TO HEAR: amplified sound, excellent Hearing Aid Compatibility (M3/T4) and a loud ringer (83 decibels).
EASIER TO USE: ergonomic product with clever streamlined layout and award-winning Swedish design flair. Flip-style means no ‘accidently making calls’.
SECURITY: a dedicated emergency SMS & calling button that, when held for a few seconds, initiates contact with to up to five contacts. In the event that someone is incapacitated and in need of assistance, there is no added stress of trying to find the right contact name in a phonebook, helping seniors feel more secure.
“Seniors are often disconnected from loved ones living around the world, so getting them to be at ease with mobile phone technology is one way to make them feel closer to their families. We are very excited to be launching these phones to New Zealand seniors,” says Batchelor.
Doro phones will be stocked through the TelstraClear network in partnership with distributor Atlas Gentech.
“TelstraClear is thrilled to make Doro phones accessible to the New Zealand market. We offer customers a simple choice for mobile, home phone and broadband, so Doro fits well with our world-leading easy-to-use phones,” says TelstraClear’s Mobile Product Manager, Susannah Redstone.
Doro phones are available nationwide at TelstraClear retail stores or from www.telstraclear.co.nz
