Snapper to deliver event solution for Outgames 2011

Snapper to deliver event solution for 2nd Asia Pacific Outgames 2011.

 Wellington, 17 December 2010.

Snapper today announced that it will provide the event ticketing and payment solution for the 2nd AsiaPacific Outgames, to be held in Wellington from 12-19 March 2011.

Snapper CEO Miki Szikszai says, “The Outgames is a significant event for Wellington’s busy international event calendar. Over 2,500 participants will be drawn together from around New Zealand and other parts of the world. Many participants will be visitors and will just want to make the most of their short stay in Wellington.”

“Snapper’s solution will provide quick and easy access to events and immediate verification of Outgames participants. Our solution will also save cardholders and organisers from having to muck around with cash getting to Outgames events, and they will use Snapper for payment when they’re there .”

Snapper for a total event solution.
“Snapper’s smart contactless payment cards will be truly multifunctional. Snapper will be used:
as a personalised ID for Outgames participants and supporters, and
to pay for transport to venues, and paying for food, beverages, and merchandise at event.
Snapper also plans for the card to be used as the key means of access to events that participants have signed up for. Once Outgames participants receive their personalised Snapper card they’ll be set for the rest of the week.”

“Snapper is providing a frictionless solution for participants that also makes event management so much easier for the organisers. With the Snapper ID card for Outgames, the accreditation process will be streamlined and simplified, integrating the event management across multiple locations. Organisers will avoid the risks of handling cash, and will receive funds settled direct into their bank account so they can quickly pay their bills.”

“As with all Snapper solutions, wherever you see the Snapper sign you can use your Snapper card or other Snapper smart device. Existing Snapper users can use their Snapper to pay for entry to public Outgames events such as the choral concert in the Wellington Town Hall, and the dance sport competition.

Snapper’s event solution matures.
“In late 2009 Snapper provided a personalised ID solution for the Asia Pacific Rim Junior Diving International at Wellington Aquatic Centre. Throughout 2010, Snapper has delivered a fast payment solution for Wellington’s Roller Derby season at TSB Arena - customers paying with Snapper sped through the queue eight times faster than those paying with cash. Outgames will see the next phase of Snapper’s event ticketing and payment solution in action.”

Snapper for convenience and speed.
Miki Szikszai says, “Snapper is pleased to be part of this unique Wellington event and is keen to showcase how Snapper is simply the most convenient and fastest way to pay for public transport, taxis and retail. Together with the Outgames ID card, Snapper will form a great experience for participants next March.”
