2degrees launches NZ’s first ever ‘all you can eat’ mobile plan for individual users

New ‘0 cent’ plan includes all standard national calls for one monthly fee of $149, no contract required

2degrees is taking the initiative on bringing down the cost of mobile for high-use consumers with the launch of the first ever monthly plan for single users that covers all national mobile and landline calls for one monthly fee with no contract required.

The fixed plan, available to the first 10,000 customers who join before 31 January 2011, costs just $149 per month and ensures that users pay zero cents per minute to call any standard mobile or landline in New Zealand.

Larrie Moore, Chief Marketing Officer for 2degrees, says that the company is proud to be the first to bring such an all-encompassing plan to the New Zealand market – a game-changing move for the mobile industry in NZ, and great news for people who use their mobile a lot.

“Plans like this have been available to mobile users in overseas markets, but due to lack of competition in the NZ market, this is the first time New Zealand’s high mobile users have been able to access comparable value ” said Mr Moore.

In recognition of the increasingly sophisticated needs of the high end mobile user, many of whom are using smartphones and have a need for mobile internet access on the run, the ‘0 cent’ plan also includes 250mb of data as well as 1000 texts.
