Ray White opens in growth region
The unbridled popularity of the Kumeu region, north west of Auckland, has seen a population boom this decade and unprecedented demand for local property according to the largest real estate group in Australasia Ray White.
As a result, Ray White Group will next week expand into Kumeu, Huapai, Riverhead and the surrounding districts.
The region will be serviced by the established and formerly independent agency Vista Realty through Andrew Widdup and his team located in Kumeu.
With five years as the local property expert, Andrew said that in joining the Ray White Group he considered how the area and property market has changed.
"The popularity of the region goes far beyond the bounds of local communities, as a result we need to lift the exposure of property marketed through the office to a broader audience," Mr Widdup said.
"The Ray White Group offered a technology platform that was considered industry-leading and combining that with the skills and development training that Ray White has available, would enhance the future for all of those involved in the business," Andrew said.
The Kumeu district is home to 5,600 households and has a diversified market which includes residential, lifestyle and rural holdings and is best known for its vineyards, wineries and restaurants. The district includes the stretch of West Coast beach known as Muriwai which is over 30 kilometres long and is well known for outdoor pursuits including fishing, surfing, land-yachting and horse riding.
Carey Smith, Chief Executive of Ray White, said that he was pleased to welcome the new office in Kumeu with a sales staff of nine in residential and lifestyle and also an established property management portfolio.
"Andrew's team is considered one of the market leaders in the area. Kumeu is a growth area of Auckland and it is important for our company to have strong representation through all sectors of the property market."
The new Ray White Kumeu office is located at 322 Main Road, Huapai and is due to commence trading on Monday 13 December 2010.
