Jennian Homes among the best of the best
Jennian Homes is among the companies vying for New Zealand’s top building honours this weekend, when the supreme winners
in the Registered Master Builders’ House of the Year Awards will be announced.
The competition has been raising the bar for building standards in New Zealand for the past two decades – and over the
past five, Jennian has been the country’s most awarded builder.
This year, Jennian builders took out a total of 43 awards in the regional competitions, with two gold reserve national
finalists, seven gold awards, 11 silver awards, three bronze awards, 11 category winners, one supreme award and eight
lifestyle awards for kitchen and bathroom excellence, energy efficiency and outdoor living.
Jennian franchisee Bruce Maetzig says the company is ecstatic about its continued success in the competition. “The
competition stands out as an opportunity for builders to showcase their talents and winning an award remains an industry
symbol for the best of the best. We’re delighted by the achievements of our franchisees this year, and thrilled judges
have named two of our homes among the top 100 in the country for 2010.”
The gold reserve national finalists represent the best of more than 530 entrants in the 19 regional competitions held
throughout New Zealand during June, July and August. Among those vying for top honours this year are Jennian’s
Coromandel and Nelson Bays franchises.
“We’re incredibly proud to be representing Jennian Homes in the national finals,” says Simon Collett, director of
Jennian Homes Nelson Bays. “Winning an award says a lot about the quality of our workmanship and the innovative designs
of our homes – there is simply no better way for us to assess the quality of our projects than by being measured by our
peers against the leading companies in the industry.”
Stephen Trebilco, who owns and manages the Coromandel franchise, says he’s delighted at the results his team achieved in
this year’s awards. “I think we were so successful because we really work for our customers, listen to their wants and
needs, and come up with the best possible solution for them. We are dedicated to safe, quality building practices and to
making our customers feel comfortable with us.
“These values and practices resonate throughout the Jennian network which is why I believe Jennian continues to be so
successful in the House of the Year Awards.”
The national winners will be announced at a gala dinner in Auckland tomorrow night.
