Imitation is flattery
“It’s great to see, even if it has taken over a year for other building companies to finally take steps and initiatives to reboot the new home market.”
That’s the view of DW Homes’ general manager Merv Giam after this week’s announcement that another building company has announced a ‘unique’ 5% finance offer.
“However, the facts are, DW Homes’ build quality, reputation and our fixed price contracts saw us launch our 5% deposit finance package for our clients over a year ago,” Merv said.
“In fact, we have a house and land package in Waiuku right now that’s available to qualifying purchasers for just $21,000 deposit. And that’s a brand-new four-bedroom, brick and tile, landscaped home with a double garage and, naturally, the highest standards of build quality throughout.
“But we haven’t stopped with just that one development, we’ve also introduced our 24-month Maintenance Free Policy on our steel-framed homes, and of course all our homes are able to be offered with a 7 or 10 year Master Builders Guarantee”
DW Homes, which currently has a show home in Waiuku’s Colombo Road, and is shortly to open a new show home in Hamilton, is having a solid year, with another raft of awards including a Category win at the prestigious Master Builders House of the Year competitions.
The company has a ‘Total Quality’ philosophy, which, in practice, means every facet of the building process has been reviewed and refined.
“It starts from first contact,” Merv explains. “Whether that contact is through our redeveloped website at www.dwhomes.co.nz, or through phone contact or a visit to our show home, we ensure clients receive only the very best.”
Free consultation sessions with DW Homes’ in-house architectural design team means ideas are translated to paper quickly, efficiently, and with flair.
“We say we don’t just build homes, we build dreams,” Merv notes. “We know that our clients don’t just want to build just any home; they want something that expresses their own personalities, and caters for the needs of their own families. Everyone’s individual, which is why every one of our projects is different. We never forget that it’s not really about us building a house, it’s about us building the dream that our client wants.”
“If you were buying an expensive TV or having a meal at a five-star restaurant, you would be expecting a pretty good service. And the investment our clients make in building a new home far outweighs that of any retail or fine dining experience, hence we provide only first class service with unrivalled business and building ethics to our clients”
Merv says the combination of fixed price contracts, 24-month maintenance free policies, 5% deposit home loans and Master Builders Guarantees has firmly established DW Homes as leaders in the building industry, and adds that the company has a number of new initiatives it is rolling out in the new year.
