BPA-free babyfood has two weeks of tastings
Natural and nutritious Natureland calls mums and babies to Countdown
Branded the kind of food mums would cook themselves, Natureland, the New Zealand made baby food is inviting parents of infants and toddlers to Countdown supermarkets in Auckland and Christchurch over the next two weeks.
The all natural baby food is holding a series of special promotional days from 9:30am to 4pm, offering free tastings of 10 baby meals, complimentary tote bags and discount coupons. The promotions are part of a national roadshow by family owned Natureland, after a successful Trans -Tasman launch earlier this year.
Natureland was the first mainstream baby food offering in both New Zealand and Australia to come in the form of a Bisphenol A (BPA)-free pouch. BPA is a chemical used in plastic packaging that has been linked to obesity, diabetes, breast cancer and hyperactivity. The innovative pouch also has a child-safe mono-piece cap.
“Like food from your own kitchen, Natureland does not compromise on quality or nutritional value,” says Natureland Brand Manager Dooley Crighton. “We’re committed to making the best baby food with all the goodness, flavour and nutrients sealed into a safe, BPA-free pouch.
Our in-store tastings provide mums with the opportunity to taste our baby fruits and baby desserts range before they purchase. I encourage parents who are seeking convenient, affordable, nutritious and tasty baby foods to come see us at Countdown,” says Dooley.
Natureland contains no added sugar, salt, artificial flavours or thickeners and is available in 16 different flavours. Its vegetable ingredients are steamed so as not to lose nutrients. Its pouch packaging preserves flavour and freshness, ensuring it is free of additives and preservatives.
The convenience of the Natureland pouch makes it popular with parents like Siobhan Ainsley, a working mum from Pukekohe who says, “I like that I can keep a pouch in my baby bag and feed Niamh one spoonful at a time and know the rest stays fresh for later, instead of dishing up all the contents of a jar at once and half going to waste.”
The Natureland range caters for babies from six months to three years, offering gluten and dairy free options and is available in flavours for every meal time.
Dooley Crighton says traditional custard recipes vanilla, banana and chocolate are a welcome addition to the range, "While many mothers view dessert as an unnecessary indulgence, nutritionally, it is the ideal opportunity to ensure our babies receive vital foods for optimal growth and development. Our baby custards are a natural source of calcium, packed with 40 percent fruit puree and are egg and gluten free, which is great news if your family has a history with food allergies.”
Following a hugely positive response from visitors to Auckland’s ASG Parent & Child Show, Natureland and its baby café will next exhibit at ABE’s Bagels Teddy Bear’s Picnic at Western Springs on 5th December.
This week, Natureland launched an online shop at its website (www.naturelandbaby.co.nz) which also features monthly promotions and a Baby of the Week photograph contest. The Natureland Facebook page (www.facebook.com/naturelandbaby) is currently running a sweepstake to win an iPad and the brand can also be followed on Twitter (http://twitter.com/Naturelandbaby).
Natureland is available in supermarkets throughout New Zealand and Australia.
