SAP New Zealand builds up SAP Business

SAP New Zealand builds up SAP Business One with new local partners

SAP New Zealand has strengthened its local ecosystem by adding two new SAP Business One partners, Passage Software and Enabling New Zealand.

SAP Business One is a core enterprise application – including financials, sales, customer relationship management, inventory, and operations – sold exclusively through channel partners. SAP Business One is targeted at the small business enterprise software market, categorised as companies or subsidiaries with around US$50 million in annual revenues.

Passage Software is offering clients full implementation services including consulting and data conversion and can even host in house – and it already has its first SAP Business One customer, Lusty’s Lloyd Loom Furniture Group.

“We believe SAP Business One really fits New Zealand’s most important market niche, which is small to medium businesses,” says Geof Nightingale, Director, Passage Software. “When we reviewed SAP Business One we liked what we saw. It offers excellent value because of the benefits it offers in improving business processes. We believe that our prospects will appreciate the difference.

“Also, local SAP staff have been excellent to deal with, we like being able to deal with people directly, and SAP’s structure and branding really support the product,” adds Geof.

Enabling New Zealand is SAP’s first trans-Tasman business partner in the SAP Business One space.

“We’ve been offering SAP Business One in Australia for about three years, and the time is right to roll it out to our New Zealand clients because it fits so nicely with our focus on SME,” says Awie van den Berg, Business Development Director, Enabling New Zealand. “We like that it offers features and functions out of the box rather than a modular solution, and with the strength and branding of SAP behind it. Local SAP staff have been fantastic to deal with, really accessible and accommodating.

“SAP Business One has a lot to offer New Zealand business, it is underutilised in this market, and I absolutely believe large growth is possible. Looking ahead at the product roadmap, SAP Business One is really ahead of the curve.”
