A Magical Affair At Hyatt Regency Auckland
Auckland, New Zealand, 6 October 2010 …
Top of the Town at Hyatt Regency Auckland was recently turned into a Lewis Carroll fantasy as esteemed guests and clients were treated to an Alice In Wonderland themed event.
Hyatt Regency Auckland’s general manager, Franz Mascarenhas, says that the Mad Hatter Lunch, complete with toadstools, and a costumed Mad Hatter and Alice, was an opportunity to showcase the hotel’s event expertise.
“Clients and Event organisers are always looking for venues that can offer flexibility, variety and innovation,” he notes.
Key personnel of the Corporate, Leisure and Meetings industry sipped on a blue or red cocktail before enjoying entrées served from live cooking stations that featured dishes from Indonesia (Prawn Laksa), the Middle East (Shawarma), China (Peking Duck), Italy (Risotto) and New Zealand (Seared Scallops and Tuna).
“Hyatt Regency Auckland continuously looks for new ways to exceed the expectations of its clients.
“Theming and live cooking stations are only a small example of the range on offer from the hotels Event team and provide alternatives to the more traditional buffet or seated three-course meal,” adds Mascarenhas.
For the main meal, guests were seated at a long banquet table spanning the length of the room before making their way to the Candy Shop for an array of decadent desserts.
Meetings and events remain a strong performance segment for Hyatt Regency Auckland, where integrating and developing new ideas, such as the Mad Hatter Lunch, allow guests to experience a higher, more unique and interactive level of service.
