Loyalty NZ appoints Head of Customer Engagement
Loyalty New Zealand, the operator company of Fly Buys, has appointed Chris Lamers into a newly created role as Head of Customer Engagement.
CEO Lance Walker said the appointment of a person acknowledged as one of New Zealand’s strongest marketers to the sends a strong signal about the development of Fly Buys.
“By creating this role we are renewing our focus and emphasis on our customers – both our retail Partners, and our 2.3 million Members. It should mean leveraging our capabilities for the benefit of shoppers and our Partners, and even more innovative thinking from our team.”
Mr Lamers said he was looking forward to working at a strategic level on the business.
“Working more closely with the 53 brands involved in Fly Buys is an exciting challenge. Bringing this together with the marketing team is something I’m looking forward to.”
Loyalty’s Account Management and Marketing Services teams will merge and form a Customer Engagment team. Chris will take up the new position this week after heading up the marketing team at Loyalty New Zealand for the past three years.
In his career, before joining Loyalty, he spent nearly seven years heading Positively Wellington Tourism’s international and domestic marketing programmes.
His other former roles include heading up the International Media Programme at Tourism New Zealand, consultancy at public relations firm Presence (now Creo), and communications for at Mount Cook airlines.
