Star Connection for Kiwi Company
One Square Meal signs IMG as USA agent
What do Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova, Tiger Woods, Kate Moss, Heidi Klum, and Drew Barrymore have in common with the Christchurch-based One Square Meal brand? They all have IMG as their agent.
The One Square Meal brand has had a star connection with US-based partner, Phil Keoghan for some time. However that connection has been strengthened by the appointment of IMG Worldwide as the official agent for One Square Meal in the US.
One Square Meal is owned by Christchurch business Cookie Time. The nutrition brand shot to local fame by winning three gold medals for innovation in the 2006 NZ Food Awards and last year entered the US market as a result of partnering with US-based host of The Amazing Race, ex-Cantabrian, Phil Keoghan.
"Now the appointment of IMG enables us to extend the global reach of One Square Meal further," says Cookie Timeís General Manager, Lincoln Booth.
"There is serious international horsepower in IMG, particularly in the US which is a key market for us," he says.
IMG Worldwide is a global sports, entertainment and media business, with nearly 3,000 employees operating in 30 countries around the globe. IMG Licensing, one of the core business units of IMG Worldwide, provide expertise in a number of different markets and services outside of sports, including corporate trademarks, brands, entertainment and celebrity properties.
"Our partnership with IMG will enable us to connect with manufacturing and licensing partners, plus open doors that we just couldnít open from the other side of the world," says Mr Booth. "The fact that IMG represent Phil as well is a bonus."
