View Success From The Wharf
North Shore function venue The Wharf Limited has won a prestigious award for new businesses at the 2010 Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Awards.
The function centre, located under the Harbour Bridge on Northcote Point, walked away with the Benefitz Best Startup Business, against tough competition from North Shore and Rodney businesses.
Judges were impressed at The Wharf’s ability to create a one of a kind experience for its customers and cited its immense planning, marketing, performance and management with launching the company onto the national and international arena.
Established in November 2007, The Wharf takes prides in providing exceptional service and gourmet cuisine as well as a breathtakingly beautiful venue in which to hold events such as weddings, conference dinners, cocktail evenings, parties, private functions and restaurant evenings.
“We are proud to bring such a world class experience to the heart of our beautiful city and the shores of the Waitemata Harbour,” says director Stu Robertson. “We have many years experience in the catering and event industry and have put everything we have learnt into The Wharf to create something truly unique.”
Enterprise North Shore chief executive Terry Hoskins is thrilled to have such a high calibre winner. “With so many new businesses starting out over the past few years, this was a very competitive field. It is fantastic to see The Wharf setting the bar so high for other businesses to emulate. They are deserving winners.”
