International Marketing Cooks Up Award

International Marketing Cooks Up Award

Attracting international students to the North Shore has won a top training institution a major marketing honour at the 2010 Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Awards.

While winning the Actionmail Excellence in Marketing Award, the North Shore International Academy (NSIA) was praised by judges for a robust marketing plan and excellent international promotion of its niche business.

With its main campus in Albany, NSIA is a leading hospitality training provider for international and domestic students and has more than 900 enrolled students.

Managing director Eddie Yuan says, “Most of our students are now working in the most important industry in New Zealand - hospitality, tourism, and food service.

“It is particularly gratifying to see that employment has been found in a large spectrum of our industry, covering the entire field both locally and internationally. NSIA continues to play a vital role not only in the worldwide hospitality industry but also for the New Zealand education export industry.”

Enterprise North Shore chief executive Terry Hoskins praised NSIA for their approach to attracting students to the North Shore. “You can have the best product in the world and the best team of people, but to be truly successful marketing is key.”
