Window Makers See Staff Clearly
A Rodney company’s staff relations has seen them win the 2010 Blackcat Consulting Employer of Choice Award.
Announced at this year’s Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Awards, Windowmakers Ltd was praised by the judging panel for its considerable focus on its staff. With a significant range of training and the highly efficient interaction between the office and the coalface, the judges said that Windowmakers stood out as an excellent employer that promotes on-going improvement of the business.
Based in Silverdale, Windowmakers Ltd is one of the largest manufacturers of aluminium joinery in Auckland, making windows, doors and more. The company uses the Architectural Profiles Limited, First Windows and Doors brand of aluminium extrusion and technical design, enabling custom-made aluminium windows and doors specifically designed to clients’ specifications.
“We are dedicated not only to fabricating windows but delighting customers with our quality, service, value and innovation at every step in the journey together,” says Roydon Woodcock, sales manager for Windowmakers Ltd.
“We are excited to have the opportunity of taking part in the Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Awards this year, our goal is to be known and our brand recognised by every homeowner, builder and architect in our region. The unique ‘Windowmakers way’ is our point of difference and we are pleased to demonstrate this to the judging panel.”
“Staff are vitally important to any business,” says Terry Hoskins, chief executive of Enterprise North Shore. “Employers like Windowmakers who look after their greatest assets promote loyalty, productivity and a team spirit that will last well into the future.”
This is the first year Rodney businesses were eligible to enter the Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Awards and Windowmakers is one of two Rodney-based winners.
