Date 6 September 2010
Release Immediate
Goodman Property Trust has reported that, following initial inspections, its Christchurch portfolio has been largely unaffected by Saturday morning’s earthquake.
A preliminary assessment of Glassworks Industry Park in Hornby, Show Place Office Park in Addington and Southpark Industrial Estate in Middleton has revealed no significant damage and these facilities remain operational.
Full engineering inspections and structural reviews will be completed over the next few days as a further precautionary measure.
John Dakin, Chief executive Officer of Goodman (NZ) Limited said, “We will be working closely with our customers to ensure safety is maintained and that they can continue their business operations through this very disruptive period for Christchurch”.
The three Christchurch facilities make up approximately 10% of the Trust’s $1.5 billion property portfolio. The portfolio is fully insured for earthquake damage.
