Tomizone and Skype partner to offer Internet access via 20,000 hotspots in Australia and New Zealand
Auckland, 24 August, 2010 – Tomizone (http://www.tomizone.com), the largest Wi-Fi Hotspot operator in ANZ[1], today announced a partnership with Skype,™ a leading provider of internet communications software, to offer Internet access to Skype users at Tomizone Wi-Fi hotspots within Australia and New Zealand.
This agreement enables travellers and people on-the-move to easily access the Internet via Skype Access™, a product that lets anyone pay for Wi-Fi access per minute using Skype Credit, to surf the web, email and make free Skype-to-Skype voice and video calls using their existing Skype credentials.
Skype Access works on the latest version of Skype for Windows and Skype for Mac OS X.
Tomizone CEO Steve Simms says, “We’re pleased to partner with Skype to provide anyone who is looking for the very best wireless options to stay connected using Skype Access at Tomizone’s Wi-Fi Hotspots.”
To launch the partnership, a one-week “Winter Warmer Hotspots” promotion starting from 24 – 31 August 2010 will allow those looking for Wi-Fi in Australia and New Zealand to download the latest Skype software and enjoy free, easy internet access at any one of Tomizone’s 20,000 Wi-Fi hotspots.
More details of the promotion can be found at: http://www.tomizone.com/go/skype.
