Christchurch Firm's Three-Peat in National Awards
‘Three-Peat’ in National Awards for Christchurch Firm
Christchurch. 19 August. – For the third year running, Christchurch information technology (IT) services company Datasouth won a premier award at the Microsoft New Zealand Partner Awards.
“Our team was recognised as the best of the best for its Core Infrastructure Solutions, again ahead of New Zealand’s very best and largest IT firms,” says Datasouth’s General Manager Craig Gerken.
Core Infrastructure is the ‘plumbing’ of an organisation’s computer systems, without which they couldn’t run their business applications or connect to the Internet.
“Datasouth is very proud to be the only South Island company in the awards and to be acknowledged as achieving best practice nationally in this area.”
“Our focus is helping clients get the most of out of their investment in this essential area of their computing – getting this ‘plumbing’ right has a big impact on the speed, cost and effectiveness of a company’s IT systems.”
“The successful design and implementation of an integrated Microsoft platform allows us to reduce our clients IT complexity and costs, deliver an increase on return on investment, and transform their core infrastructure into a strategic asset, allowing them to focus on their business rather than their technology.”
Datasouth received the award for their work with architectural firm Warren and Mahoney, which judges said was an innovative use of Microsoft technology to manage and secure the client’s network, giving them a base for improving the way IT was used in their business.
“Our architects need reliability in an IT solution. We chose the Datasouth approach because it provided more scalability and flexibility than others we evaluated,” says Warren and Mahoney IT Manager Peter Helps.
Warren and Mahoney now has a flexible and reliable IT infrastructure that can easily be adapted to suit the company as it grows.
“Datasouth gave us good advice and options for how to proceed. That insight gave us a clear picture of where we wanted to go. They worked with us to understand our business requirements, then tailored a streamlined solution to meet our needs”.
