CFH receives Refined Proposals to deliver Ultra-Fast Broadband
Crown Fibre Holdings has now received Refined Proposals from respondents to the Government’s Ultra-Fast Broadband (UFB)
initiative.
Refined Proposals have been received from a total of 15 parties A number of the original respondents have formed new
consortia or indicated a willingness to do so. Proposals received cover all of the 33 UFB Candidate Areas (representing
75% population coverage).
“With this stage now complete, CFH looks forward to reviewing the refined submissions to partner in the Government’s UFB
project, which will deliver ultra-fast broadband,” said Crown Fibre Holdings Chairman, Simon Allen.
“We’ll determine a shortlist of respondents and expect to make recommendations on preferred investment partners to
shareholding Ministers in October 2010,” he said.
“As each month goes by, it is exciting to hear feedback from around the world where UFB is happening about what it can
do in health, education and business to enable productivity improvements,” he said.
Crown Fibre Holdings intends to commence the initiative before the end of the year.

Crown Fibre Holdings (CFH) has been established to manage the Crown's $1.5 billion investment in ultra-fast broadband
infrastructure over the next ten years.
In October 2009, an Invitation to Participate seeking proposals to participate in the Ultra-Fast Broadband Initiative
was released.
CFH completed the eligibility stage in March, where all respondents progressed to the next stage. Discussions were then
conducted with all respondents during April. The next stage of assessment of existing proposals was completed by the end
of May.
On 2 July 2010 respondents were asked to redefine their proposals.
