Kiwi Homes Not Equipped for Natural Disasters

Kiwi Homes Not Equipped for Natural Disasters

Statistics New Zealand (SNZ) has recently found that only 11% of New Zealand homes are prepared for a natural disaster[i]. New Zealanders need to be prepared as power outages caused by natural disasters and bad weather can strike at any time and often without warning.

New Zealand’s location and environment mean we face various potential natural disasters including earthquakes, flooding and snow storms.[ii] Power outages can last for several days, so being prepared by having something simple such as a reliable and durable torch on hand in the home, among other key survival items such as first aid kits, can help your family get through. A full checklist of essential items can be found on the NZ Civil Defence website, www.getthru.govt.nz

The Dolphin family of torches provide a reliable, affordable solution in a range of sizes, for everyday use around the home or in the event of a power outage or emergency.

A kiwi favourite for over 40 years, the Eveready Dolphin torch family is a simple way to help your family get through those nights without lighting. Tough, waterproof and now with a 30% brighter Xenon bulb, be prepared for emergency situations by keeping Eveready Dolphin torches close to hand.

Available at leading retailers nationwide.
