David Latta Officially Opens Bunnings Warehouse Dunedin
Bunnings Warehouse Dunedin was officially opened today by sporting icon David Latta.
The Bunnings team were joined by the former Otago captain earlier today to celebrate the launch of the Dunedin site.
The opening of Bunnings Warehouse Dunedin means the needs of home DIY customers and the local trade market will be well catered for, with more than 40,000 product lines in stock.
Complex Manager Mat Junge says the new Bunnings Warehouse will be employing 100 Team Members. The investment in Dunedin, which exceeds $20 million, features 12,500 square metres of trading space that includes a garden centre and a covered timber drive-through for trade and DIY customers.
Today’s launch was attended by key members of the Dunedin community, and Mat says the team are overwhelmed by the support shown so far.
“We really appreciate the great response we’ve had during every stage of opening Bunnings Warehouse Dunedin and we’re excited to continue this great atmosphere in store”.
Members of the public are invited to attend the opening weekend celebrations, which commence on Friday 9 July from 3.00pm, with a fireworks display commencing at 7.00pm.
There will also be a live band in store as well as loads of other entertainment.
The free family fun and entertainment will continue throughout the weekend at the store with the Otago Volts on Saturday morning, Classic Hits on-site, and a bouncy castle, face painters and entertainers for the kids.
Bunnings New Zealand General Manager Rod Caust says that as well as providing a new option to Dunedin’s home improvement retail market, Bunnings Warehouse will provide the lowest prices on the widest range of home improvement and garden products, backed up with expert advice.
Bunnings Warehouse Dunedin is the 18th warehouse to open in New Zealand.
