TechnologyOne Marks 100th New Zealand Customer

TechnologyOne Marks 100th New Zealand Customer

28 June, 2010 — TechnologyOne, a leading provider of enterprise software solutions, today announced it has signed MainPower New Zealand Limited as its 100th customer in New Zealand.

MainPower, a major South Island lines company providing line services to the North Canterbury and Kaikoura regions, is now the most recent addition to a growing stable of companies employing the TechnologyOne suite of enterprise software systems.
Following more than a decade of successful operation in New Zealand, the international software provider has continued to increase its footprint in the New Zealand market over the past year, securing several million dollars of new revenue.

TechnologyOne services seven key vertical markets and has annual revenues in excess of $140 million per anum; including government, local government, education, financial services, health, community services, and managed services. In New Zealand, TechnologyOne has experienced particular success in the government, healthcare and tertiary education sectors.
TechnologyOne has won all major New Zealand government deals for Financial Management solutions since 2005 – including Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Agriculture & Forestry, Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry for the Environment. The company has also won all competitive health board tenders since 2005, with the Nelson, Hawkes Bay, Tairwahiti and the Lakes District Health Boards all using TechnologyOne software solutions.

TechnologyOne is already the dominant provider of software solutions to the higher education sector in New Zealand, with leading institutions such as the University of Otago and Massey University utilising the TechnologyOne Financials solution and approaching 50% market share of all polytechnics.
TechnologyOne Executive Chairman, Mr Di Marco said the 100-customer milestone demonstrates the continued dominance of the company on both sides of the Tasman.
“We’ve worked diligently to build a suite of software products that help organisations run smarter, more efficiently and in control of their costs; the strength of this product offering has enabled us to establish ourselves in international markets without the help of resellers. The 100th customer milestone highlights that business is flourishing in New Zealand,” he said.

MainPower joins a nucleus of electricity utility companies employing TechnologyOne solutions, including Electricity Ashburton, PowerNet, Northpower, Network Tasman Limited and Marlborough Lines.

The utilities market-specific solution in place at MainPower will include a variety of TechnologyOne modules for financial and asset management, human resources, payroll and mobile applications. The solution will allow MainPower to seamlessly manage its $170 million worth of infrastructure assets.

According to MainPower Managing Director, Allan Berge, TechnologyOne’s pre-configured solution for the utilities sector came out on top as the right fit.

“We came to the market specifically looking for a fully integrated enterprise solution with strong asset management capabilities, specifically designed with the legislative requirements of our sector in mind.”

TechnologyOne has evolved from a single product software house to a globally competitive business with an integrated enterprise solution suite of 11 products and a breadth of offering virtually unmatched worldwide.
