New Appointments at Colenso BBDO
Steve
Clark joins as strategic planner, Levi Slavin promoted to
creative director
Colenso BBDO has appointed Steve Clark to the role of Strategic Planner, and promoted Levi Slavin to Creative Director.
Steve joins Colenso from a strategic planning role with Mojo, though he has spent much of his career as a Channel Planner.
Colenso BBDO planning director James Hurman says: “Luckily for me, Steve’s stepped out of channel specialisation and into the broader planning world. But his unique pedigree in channel planning does make him a brilliant compliment to the planning team and to the creative process.”
Steve comments: “Colenso is a recognised leader of innovative, creative comms and an agency that likes to push the boundaries. It’s an exciting place, creating great work that’s recognised around the world.”
Meanwhile in the creative department Levi Slavin, less than six months after he returned to Colenso from Saatchi & Saatchi London, has been promoted to Creative Director joining fellow Colenso CDs Steve Cochran and Aaron Turk.
Colenso ECD Nick Worthington says: “It’s great to have Levi on board; he has been here less than six months and is already making a huge difference.”
Both Steve and Levi are already working in their new roles.
Steve Clark
Steve
started in the advertising business in the mid 80's in
London at Lowe Howard Spink in the days when Frank Lowe and
Geoff Howard Spink ran the business and Lowe was a creative
powerhouse.
Having worked for 4 years as a media planner he jumped at the chance to join BBH as a media manager in 1990, working on Levis, Shell and G shock and winning awards for work in TV, Outdoor and print. He progressed through the ranks to become a group media director.
When BBH opened their own media agency in the
late 90's, Steve became a founding partner looking after
their biggest accounts One2One, Cadbury Trebor Bassett,
WHSmith and Levis.
By 2001 he felt that it
was time for a break so took what was to be a year off to
travel the world. One year quickly became nearly four before
Steve rejoined the world of advertising, and established
Channel Planning at Mojo. For the last year Steve has been
working in strategic planning at Mojo under Martin
Yeoman.
Steve’s move from Mojo to Colenso will see him working alongside his good mate and former colleague, Colenso BBDO ECD Nick Worthington, who he used to work with at Mojo and BBH London.
Levi
Slavin
Levi Slavin returned to Colenso in January
2010 as Deputy Creative Director and less than six months
later has been promoted to Creative Director.
Levi, an Aussie, worked at Colenso in 2006, and left a legacy of iconic work like Tip Top “Tog, Togs, Togs” and the launch of Frank soft drink. He then moved to Saatchi & Saatchi Auckland and has spent the last two years at Saatchi & Saatchi London, working on campaigns for T-Mobile, Carlsberg, P&G and Cadbury. Most recently he completed the first global campaign in Guinness’ history, working with director Antoine Bardou-Jacquet on a campaign that has run in USA, China, Africa, Ireland and the UK.
Ends.
