Star realtor No. 1 in Wellington region for fourth year in a row
6 May 2010: Another successful 12 months in a tough real estate market has seen Taranaki realtor Glenn Green named Number One Sales Consultant in Harcourts’ Wellington Region for the last financial year, his fourth time earning that honour.
Since commencing his real estate career a decade ago at age 20, Mr Green has consistently been a star performer in Harcourts, being named Number One in Harcourts’ Wellington Region four years in a row and last year coming in at number two nationally and second internationally within the Harcourts group.
The Harcourts Bell Block office-based realtor was one of a number of high-performing sales consultants, property managers and teams honoured today at an end of year awards function held by Harcourts at the Duxton Hotel in Wellington and attended by around 200 people.
Other 2009/10 winners in the region, which encompasses the lower North Island and includes approximately 300 Harcourts sales consultants, were Marianne Tavenier from Harcourts Paraparaumu office, who was named number two in the region for the second year in a row and also took out the Dominion-Post sponsored Golden Hammer award for her auction-related success, and Marty Ritchie from Harcourts Whitby who earned third place in 2009/10.
In addition Tony McEwan from Harcourts Otaki office was named Top
Rural Consultant for the region, Bruce Woodhead from Harcourts New Plymouth office took out
the award for Top Commercial Consultant for an impressive
third year in a row, rookie Andy Cooling from Harcourts Paremata office earned the
title of Rising Star of the Year in the region and Harcourts Hastings’ Jo McDonald won
the inaugural award for Top Property Manager in Harcourts’
Wellington Region.
Head of Real Estate Operations for Harcourts Australasia Bryan Thomson congratulated all of the teams and individuals honoured at the awards for their efforts during what had been another challenging year in real estate, particularly in the provincial areas.
“Success is what was a tough year in most markets in this region is a testament to the talent and drive of today’s award-winners,” he says. “None more so than Glenn Green, who has a well-deserved reputation and who has achieved an exceptional track record of success within our group, particularly given the relatively small market he works in.”
Mr Green says the real estate market
was tough in the past financial year but he expects more
activity after the May budget announcement and says there
are plenty of opportunities to achieve
good
results.
“Things are looking up and with hard work, persistence and a focus on doing the basics well I’m sure my team and I will continue to assist our clients to achieve their goals,” he says.
Mr Green, who is supported by a team of two, says his passion for both the real estate industry and people helps give him the energy and enthusiasm to build and maintain the relationships that are essential to getting results.
Today’s event was the third of four
regional awards events Harcourts is holding around the
country this week ahead of the group’s National Awards
function during Harcourts New Zealand’s annual conference,
this year being held in Christchurch from 17 – 19
May.
