Symantec Announces 2010 Asia Pacific and Japan Partner Award Winners

Leaders from Asiasoft, BeaTRice, Datastor, HP Japan, Imperium Solutions, Jainam Technologies, Rainbow Tech, Fujitsu Australia, Systex Ltd and Wipro receive the Symantec APJ Partner Awards


AUCKLAND – Symantec Partner Engage 2010 –Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced the recipients of its 2010 Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) Partner Awards at the inaugural Symantec Partner Engage 2010 Conference in Sanya, China. The Symantec Partner Awards recognise channel partners that have demonstrated innovative delivery of services and solutions to customers during the past year and acknowledge their dedication and commitment to selling Symantec’s security, availability and systems management solutions. The award winners are selected on criteria such as overall performance in revenue, deal registration, technical and marketing investments, customer service excellence and certification.

The Symantec APJ Partner Awards include three APJ regional award categories and seven sub-regional award categories. The award winners are:
APJ Security Partner of the Year: Jainam Technologies,India
APJ Storage Software Partner of the Year: Systex Ltd, China
APJ Distributor of the Year: Datastor, New Zealand
Symantec Partner Innovation Awards: Asiasoft Hong Kong Ltd; BeaTRice Co. Ltd., Korea; Hewlett-Packard (HP), Japan; Imperium Solutions Pte Ltd, Singapore; Rainbow Tech (Guangzhou) Inc., China; Fujitsu Australia Ltd; and Wipro Ltd, India.

“Symantec has an outstanding community of partners who play a critical role in reaching and meeting the needs of our diverse range of customers across the Asia Pacific and Japan region,” said Bernard Kwok, Symantec’s senior vice president for Asia Pacific and Japan. “Symantec is focused on helping our partners in this region to continue to maximise their sales opportunities and accelerate their growth and profitability.”

“These awards aim to acknowledge the achievements of our partners over the last year and we hope this recognition continues to nurture excellence in the channel throughout 2010. We congratulate the winners of our Partner Awards this year,” added Kwok.

The inaugural APJ Symantec Partner Engage 2010 Conference was held in Sanya, China from 26-28 April 2010. The event brought together approximately 150 senior executives from Symantec’s partner community to hear about industry trends, market opportunities, and Symantec’s vision and strategy through keynotes, and business and regional breakout sessions. The event is also a platform for partners to network and exchange ideas with their peers in the industry.
