Terabyte scores double Webby honours for NZ
Leading web design company, Terabyte Interactive, has brought home double honours for NZ in the 14th Annual Webby
Awards. The Webbys are the Oscars of the web design industry, with nearly 10,000 entries received from over 60
countries.
Auckland-based Terabyte Interactive has received the Official Honoree distinction in the 2010 Awards, announced this
week, for two web design projects. Both award winning entries were for NZ tourism sites - and Terabyte secured two of
only 12 Honoree positions for tourism projects worldwide.
The two Webby-honoured sites, designed and built by Terabyte in New Zealand, are:
- 10 Years Young – Tourism New Zealand’s website to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the '100% Pure New Zealand' marketing campaign
- Christchurch and Canterbury Tourism’s new digital tourist gateway to the South Island www.christchurchnz.com
”Our focus is always on building sites that deliver our clients’ communication goals,” says Terabyte MD, Doug Hanna,
“but winning International awards for our work helps us benchmark ourselves against the best of the rest. We’re
particularly thrilled to get recognised for these tourism sites, given the industry’s importance to our economy.”
Webby Awards are held by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences. Websites are judged for their content, structure and navigation, visual design, functionality, interactivity
and the overall experience they deliver.
Terabyte are leading web communication experts. The company is proud to have been helping businesses achieve success
online for over 20 years.
