MYOB Helps Kiwi Business Owners Get It Right

MYOB Helps Kiwi Business Owners Get It Right

MYOB is giving Kiwi business owners more information, more control and greater functionality with the latest release of its most popular business solutions, MYOB AccountRight.

The AccountRight range of accounting solutions builds on the functionality of MYOB’s market-leading accounting software series (previously known as Accounting, Accounting Plus, Premier and Premier Enterprise) – used by over 1 million businesses and accounting firms in Australia and New Zealand – to provide a wide range of new features, including a graphical dashboard of crucial business data that will give business owners a snapshot of their business performance.

MYOB New Zealand general manager Julian Smith says the AccountRight range has been developed with a focus on providing business owners and managers with the information they need to make vital decisions, improve efficiency and build success.

“We’ve taken a fresh look at what businesses need and have further enhanced the AccountRight range with a host of new features,” explains Julian Smith. “With AccountRight people can see the performance of their business at a glance – including their cash position and outstanding debts. So business owners can take immediate action to improve their business.”

“As business owners look to take advantages of the opportunities in an improving economy, grow in size or even take on new markets, we wanted to provide them with the ideal platform for success.”

“The AccountRight range, which comes with a fresh new look and updated interface, marks the first stage of a major evolution in MYOB’s family of business solutions,” says Julian Smith.

“This release marks a new direction for our most popular products,” says Mr Smith. “Over the next three years, MYOB will invest around NZ$90 million in product development, to bring a new generation of software and services to Kiwi and Aussie businesses and accountants.”

“These solutions, which will take advantage of the latest technology, offer more choice for business owners in how and where they work, whether it’s from their desktop or an online environment. They will allow business owners to work more closely with their trusted advisors – accountants, banks and partners. And they will be designed to allow businesses to get the support they need as they grow or develop.”

“One thing that won’t change is our commitment to robust and reliable development, that’s backed by the expertise that comes with over two decades of creating products and services specifically for the local market. We’re about making business life easier for our clients.”

Highlights of the AccountRight release for 2010 include:
• Business Insights – a dashboard display of key business information covering four vital areas of performance: cash position, cash analysis, outstanding debts and bills owed.
• Improved workflows – new ‘actions’ to complete common tasks quickly and efficiently, including bank reconciliations and cards.
• Access to online services – introducing Google Maps integration, to find customers and suppliers with a single click
• Easier updates and more support options – including an automatic software update service and fast access to the range of MYOB support options.

The AccountRight range provides options for many types of businesses, with each level of the product range offering added functionality. AccountRight Standard makes light work of managing stock, and processing accounting. AccountRight Plus includes payroll and time billing, while AccountRight Premier also adds multi-user access and multi-currency support and AccountRight Enterprise completes the range with additional advanced inventory and support for terminal services.

Julian Smith says the release of the AccountRight range is just one of a number of new initiatives and product developments businesses and accountants can expect to see from the country’s leading accounting software provider.

“We’ll be giving local businesses more support, more choice and more ways to make business life easier in the coming months,” says Mr Smith.

AccountRight is available for purchase directly from MYOB or from selected retailers and MYOB Approved Partners nationally from Monday 12 April 2010. For more information and FREE product test drives, visit www.myob.co.nz
