Montana’s television ad now on air!

Montana’s television ad now on air!

The first ever television commercial for Montana Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc went to air in New Zealand on 20 February and in Australia on 21 February, reinforcing Montana as a true pioneer of the New Zealand wine industry.

This is a particular milestone for Australia, with Montana being the first New Zealand wine brand to appear on Australian television. The global campaign will include broadcasts in the UK in April and online around the world.

Filmed at Montana Wines’ picturesque Brancott Estate vineyard in Marlborough, the commercial brings to life Montana’s heritage as the creators of Marlborough. Creatively, the commercial plays with the idea that before Montana planted the first Sauvignon Blanc in Marlborough in the early 1970’s, the region was a blank canvas. Through talent and vision, Montana created the wine style New Zealand is now famous for.

The commercial was created by advertising agency Publicis Mojo New Zealand with a production team who have been behind major global campaigns and blockbuster feature films.

“We're very happy with the result” says Patrick Materman, Chief Winemaker for Montana.

“We’ve recently upgraded our packaging and developed striking magazine advertising to give us maximum impact in markets all over the world. Adding the powerful medium of television to our marketing gives us powerful synergies to tell the Montana story in a compelling way with real scale.”

The commercial will screen on various New Zealand and Australian television channels over the next two months or can be viewed on www.montana.co.nz.
