New Zealand to discount fuel by 5c per litre
Auckland, 24 February
2010 – Gull, New Zealand’s oil industry independent,
has this afternoon announced that there will be a five cent
per litre discount on all grades of fuel starting tomorrow,
Thursday 25 February at 7am until Friday 26 February at
10am.
Graham Stirk, Gull Retail Manager, says that the choice to hold tomorrow’s discount day is in direct contrast to today’s price increases by some of the major oil companies.
“Although global oil prices and exchange rates continue to be erratic and unpredictable, it’s always fantastic to find an opportunity to offer a discount to Gull customers.
“Thursday is traditionally a busy day at the pumps and Gull enjoys providing value for money to the Kiwi motorist, so tomorrow is a perfect day to fill up your tank before the weekend,” says Stirk.
At the majority of Gull outlets where Gull controls retail prices, prices are as follows:
Gull Regular Plus $1.649
Gull Regular 91 $1.669
Gull Force 10 (98 Octane) $1.789
Gull Low Sulphur Diesel $1.049
Prices at the unmanned drive through sites will be lower than this.
Stirk concludes, “Discount days at Gull are always a great opportunity to make your savings go even further by bringing in supermarket discount vouchers.”
