Renovation resolution
Forget giving up smoking, and losing weight, this year New Zealanders have been making the resolution to renovate and
repair their homes and tidy up their gardens.

this year a record number of people have been looking for tradespeople to paint the house, fix up the garden, and do the
tidy up jobs around the home. A number of people have told us that getting their homes in order has been their New Years
resolution. January 1 and 2 were two of our busiest days ever, up 523% on last year’’. Tradespeople have been responding
quickly to the new jobs ``A lot of tradespeople we have spoken to are keen to put last year behind them and get a
running start at 2010’’.
