Updated Fact File of Economic Statistics Released

The New Zealand Business Roundtable has updated the data in the attached file of key statistics complied for economic journalists and others interested in the New Zealand economy. The file was first released on 31 October 2008.

The data are primarily from official sources such as Statistics New Zealand, the Reserve Bank, the OECD and the IMF. EconData Pty Ltd has generously facilitated access to some of these data. Annotations highlight key periods and events.

The first part of the file comprises New Zealand statistics produced mainly by New Zealand statistical authorities. The second part contains some international comparisons of New Zealand trends and rankings vis á vis other countries.

Links are also provided to frequently used databases of economic information.
