New Chair for ASB Community Trust
NEWS RELEASE
09/11/09 - For immediate release
Trustees have elected Ann Hartley as the new
Chair of ASB Community Trust.
The former MP, Deputy
Speaker and North Shore City Mayor, has been a Trustee of
ASB Community Trust since 2008. She replaces Kevin Prime as
Chair, while Brian Lythe, from Oratia in West Auckland,
remains the Trust’s Deputy Chair.
Trustees
considered that Ann Hartley’s extensive governance
experience in central and local government, community
development, education and environment would contribute to
the work of the ASB Community Trust.
In September this
year Finance Minister Bill English appointed two other
Aucklanders as Trustees.
The two new Trustees are
Ken Whitney, a partner in the legal firm Ross & Whitney and
a trustee of the Chisholm Whitney Family Trust; and Paula
Kearns, Director of accounting firm PKCA and a current board
member of the New Zealand Football Board, NZ Onshore
Sculpture Ltd and United Soccer 1.
Mr Whitney and Ms
Kearns replace Sister Mary Foy and Yoon Boo Lee, who have
completed two four-year terms.
