IAB New Zealand announces new Chairperson
Friday, 6 November 2009
The Interactive Advertising Bureau of New Zealand (IAB NZ) announced today that Michael Gregg, Advertising Director of Trade Me is the new Chairperson of IAB.
Outgoing Chairperson, Kevin Bowler, has stepped down as he leaves Yahoo!Xtra to become Chief Executive at Tourism New Zealand. Bowler says "the IAB plays a critical role in fostering the growth of interactive advertising in New Zealand by working with publishers, advertisers and their agencies. We expect that interactive will have passed magazines and be ranked fourth largest media in 2009, and with MG’s leadership I’m sure we’ll see interactive grow even faster”.
The IAB Board would like to take this opportunity to thank Kevin for the time he has given as Chair and the passion and direction he brought to the role.
Gregg says "Kevin’s leadership has provided decisive direction for our fledgling organisation. My role is to continue to drive the execution of the Board’s strategic plan and to broaden the touch points of the IAB across the interactive industry.”
Gregg (better known to many as MG) has been working for Trade Me as Advertising Director since September 2007. Prior to that, he spent two years as Interactive Director for Clemenger BBDO with a five-year stint as Chief Executive of Wellington telecommunications technology company, MediaLab.
