V Australia sale fares celebrate new services

V Australia sale fares celebrate new services from NZ to
Los Angeles, Phuket and Johannesburg

LA from $1,199* return – Phuket from $699* one way – Jo’burg from $2,169* return

Thursday 5 November 2009: Virgin Blue Group’s newest international airline, luxury carrier V Australia, is promoting sale fares in the New Zealand market to celebrate the launch of three new long haul services.

V Australia is now offering low fares from Auckland and Christchurch to Los Angeles with connecting trans-Tasman flights on Emirates. It also has low fares to Johannesburg from Auckland and to Phuket from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, with connecting flights on Pacific Blue.

Virgin Blue Airlines Group CEO Brett Godfrey said that thousands of New Zealanders had already booked to fly to Los Angeles on V Australia, code sharing with Pacific Blue.

“Kiwis are great travelers and they know good value and quality when they see it. V Australia’s new services to LA with connections on Emirates, and our soon-to-launch services to Thailand and South Africa with connections on Pacific Blue, mean we can offer New Zealanders a whole bunch of new travel choices on a fresh new airline at very competitive prices.”

V Australia said it was beginning promotional campaigns in New Zealand over the next week to let Kiwis know they now have new options for long haul travel.

All fares on the new services will earn points on the award-winning Velocity rewards program, which can be redeemed on V Australia, Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue, and Polynesian Blue flights, as well as on partner airlines.
