Gull continues to
hold fuel prices
Petrol between 8 and 6
cents per litre below the oil giants
Auckland, 29 October 2009 – Gull this morning committed to keeping its fuel prices eight to six cents lower than the oil giants until at least late Friday morning.
Graham Stirk, Gull Retail Manager said that major savings are available at Gull when compared with almost all of the giant oil companies’ outlets.
“Gull’s Regular Plus biofuel is only $1.579. That’s eight cents per litre below the oil giants’ most common price of $1.659.
“From today, Regular Plus is available at over 20 per cent of Gull’s outlets. Not only can you save on price but you can save emissions with the biofuel being a renewable fuel,” says Stirk
Stirk notes, “91 Octane is not above $1.60 per litre at any of Gull’s company-priced sites, nor will these sites sell diesel above $1.03 per litre today. The Kiwi motorist will save at least six cents per litre on petrol and four cents per litre on diesel compared with almost all the multinationals.”
“We’ll look at our margins again on Friday morning but by the time we get to work, it’s Outrageous Fortune tonight so we may need a sleep in, and look at the data, if we decide to move it will not be before 11am,” concludes Stirk.
At the majority of Gull outlets where Gull controls retail prices, prices are as follows:
Gull Regular Plus (91 Octane)
$1.579
Gull Regular (91 Octane)
$1.599
Gull Force 10 (98 Octane)
$1.719
Gull Low Sulphur Diesel
$1.029
