Genesis Energy holds residential gas prices
Domestic gas customers of Genesis Energy will not see a price change to their gas bill until at least October 2010, the company announced today.
Genesis Energy’s General Manager Retail, Dean Carroll, said the cost of energy is an important issue for customers. It is Genesis Energy’s responsibility to be efficient as possible and to contain cost increases.
“We are committed to holding domestic gas prices level for at least another year. We are also continuing with our Big Gas Thank You which gives all our residential customers a daily discount of 50 cents off the daily fixed charge.”
Genesis Energy has around 104,000 residential natural gas customers across the North Island. It also supplies bottled LPG to residential and commercial customers.
Genesis Energy has a range of gas supply agreements and has contracted for 100% of the natural gas from the Kupe gas field which comes on stream early next year.
