Scrutiny of personal grievances welcome
The Northern Employers and Manufacturers Association is welcoming the Prime Minister's undertaking today that the government is to investigate employment law around personal grievance claims.
PM John Key indicated to the CTU conference that the Minister of Labour has been asked to look into personal grievance processes.
"Many employers trip up over the processes involved in employment disputes," said David Lowe, EMA's Manager of Employment Services.
"They find too often that though their actions are often reasonable, the processes required by today's employment law can end up costing them dearly.
"Its good to know the Prime Minister has listened and agreed that the issue needs looking into."
