Launch of New 360 Harbour Discovery Hop-on/Hop-off Cruise
Auckland, 16 October 2009 – 360 Discovery Ltd announces the launch of its new Harbour Discovery cruise product, taking to Auckland’s Harbour from Labour Weekend. The new product provides the opportunity to visit several harbour locations all in one day with the option to hop on/hop off at various drop-off points around the Harbour.
Stops along the way where customers will be able to disembark and explore, include Downtown Auckland, Rangitoto Island, Motuihe Island, and Orakei Wharf (for Kelly Tarltons and Mission Bay) and also Torpedo Bay (for North Head, the Naval Base and Devonport) from March 2010.  Other points of interest while cruising the Harbour Discovery include the Maritime Museum, Viaduct Basin and Auckland Harbour Bridge.
Visitors will be offered the opportunity to walk along the unique volcanic trails of Rangitoto Island and climb to the top for stunning views; soak in the crystal blue waters at Motuihe and relax on its spectacular white sandy beaches; explore the WWII gun emplacements at North Head or walk further along to the idyllic seaside village of Devonport; visit Kelly Tarltons’ Antarctic Encounter and Underwater World; or simply relax in the popular seaside suburb of Mission Bay.
With an all day Harbour Discovery Cruise pass, there is also the option to catch a Fullers ferry from Devonport or Rangitoto back to Downtown Auckland, or otherwise hop back onto the Harbour Discovery cruise en route to the next hop-off destination.
The Harbour Discovery cruises will depart Downtown Auckland daily at 10am, 12.00pm and 2.30pm, and a pass costs $29 for adults and $15 for children (5-15years inclusive).
