Admark Visual Imaging Wins SGIA Golden Image Award
Admark Visual Imaging Ltd was recently honored with a
gold medal at the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association
(SGIA) Golden Image (including André Schellenberg) Awards.
The award was for the Red Rock Vending Machine graphic,
entered in the Display/Exhibits category, and was presented
during the 2009 SGIA Expo in New Orleans.
“I am
very proud of our team,” said Laurie Pilling, Admark’s
Managing Director. “Our work was compared to the best in
the world — and we came out on top. That’s quite an
accomplishment! And what I am even more proud of is that
this is the second year running in which we have received
this international award – last year we received the
André Schellenberg award for a digitally printed graphic we
did on behalf of Burger King – so we have been awarded for
excellence in both screen and large-format digital printing
on the world stage”.
More than 90 companies from
around the world entered the competition, submitting nearly
450 entries in 43 product categories. “The quality of work
this year was exceptional. Judges in virtually every
category told me the entries were so good that choosing
winners was a real challenge,” said Johnny Shell, SGIA’s
Vice President of Technical Services. Shell added that
Golden Image is a technical competition, excluding aesthetic
issues from the judging process. Prints are judged on the
level of difficulty and quality of
execution.
“Winning the gold medal for the
Display/Exhibits category puts Admark among the top
specialty printers in the world in terms of quality and
capability. The ability to consistently print such high
quality products indicates that Admark is expert at
controlling the many variables involved in specialty
printing,” Shell said.
