Turners launches weekend budget auction

Media Release
15 October 2009

Turners launches weekend budget auction plus the chance to win back the

cost of the car

Turners Penrose is holding its first fortnightly weekend budget lane on Saturday 17th October, and to celebrate will offer the chance for one buyer to win back the price of their car.

Budget vehicles will be offered fortnightly starting this Saturday, in addition to the highly successful Wednesday budget auction, featuring cars from ‘no reserve’ to a top estimated value of $5,500.

Paul Callister from Turners Auctions says the additional weekend budget auction is the result of increased customer demand to buy cheaper cars outside of work hours.

“Having a really big auction every second Saturday gives buyers time to pick up bargains without cutting into their working week. Plus for the person who wins back the purchase price this weekend there’ll be an extra boost in savings,” Paul says.

To win back the purchase price of the car, buyers simply need to buy a car at this Saturday’s budget auction by bidding either in person or online at Turners Live.

Seventy budget cars will go under the hammer this weekend with at least 10 ‘no reserve’ vehicles.

The first weekend budget lane auction will be held at Turners Auctions Penrose, Cnr Penrose Road and Leonard Rd, at noon Saturday 17 October.  To view the full list of vehicles for sale visit www.turners.co.nz
