A net 50% of respondents feel the economy will get better over the coming year which is only a small pullback from the record net 56% optimistic in September. Compared with the recent past there has been a notable improvement in sentiment in the areas of construction, motor vehicles and automotive servicing, and labour demand. But in real estate some of the earlier euphoria has calmed down and across many sectors where upturns are being observed they are starting from low bases.
