Orcon offers free calls to Samoa

Telecommunications company Orcon is offering free calls via its network to landline and mobile phone numbers in Samoa until Sunday.

The offer is valid for calls to both Western and American Samoa and is effective immediately.

Orcon CEO Scott Bartlett says it’s important for all New Zealanders to do their bit to help out when disaster strikes.

“Uncertainty about the welfare of friends and relatives in any emergency can be hugely distressing. We just want to do our bit to make it easier and less costly for people to get in touch and stay in touch,” Mr Bartlett says.
