Appointment of Chief Executive of Serious Fraud Office

The Deputy State Services
Commissioner, John Ombler, today announced the appointment
of Adam Feeley to the position of Chief Executive and
Director, Serious Fraud Office.
Mr Feeley is currently
the chief executive of the Eden Park Redevelopment Board, a
position he has held since 2007.
"Mr Feeley is
responsible for managing relationships with a significant
group of stakeholders and over 30 consulting companies. He
has held senior management positions in the Public Service
and private sector.
"He is a strong leader and has extensive regulatory and enforcement experience, including work in the corporate and securities sector as National Manager of the Companies Office," John Ombler said.
Prior to taking up his current role, Mr Feeley was at the Ministry of Economic Development as the Group Manager, Crown Minerals, where he was responsible for promoting petroleum exploration in New Zealand and carrying out the regulatory function for the industry.
Mr Feeley’s other roles included General Manager, Baycorp Holdings Limited and National Manager Business Registries, at the Ministry of Commerce. He has practised as a solicitor in the Department of Trade and Industry in London, and in New Zealand at the Department of Justice and at Bell Gully.
Mr Feeley has a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from Canterbury University and has been admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
Mr Feeley is expected to take up his appointment in November.
