Improve your event management skills

Improve your event management skills with Leisure Active

Get along to Leisure Active’s Get Set Go! workshop on Wednesday 7 October if you’re a community event or recreation programme coordinator looking to improve your event management skills. The workshop, held at Pelorus Trust Sports House, Hutt Park, Seaview, is the perfect opportunity to learn more about event planning and develop your knowledge of marketing, funding, health and safety requirements and programme evaluation.

It’s also a chance to be inspired to develop innovative new events to increase community engagement and network with other event organisers in Hutt City.
Hutt City Council recreation and events manager Duncan Chisholm is encouraging all event organisers in the city to attend.

“The Get Set Go! workshop provides an opportunity to learn from those with experience running successful events and you’ll learn practical tools and tips to improve your next programme.”

The workshop costs $40 for individuals and voluntary organisations, and $60 for businesses. All participants will receive a workbook and planning guideline to take away.

Registrations close Friday 2 October and numbers are limited.
To reserve your place, or if you have any questions about the event, contact Leisure Active event coordinator Zoe Firth on 560 0309 or via email: zoe.firth@huttcity.govt.nz
