Hill To Focus on Delivering Solutions That Enable Businesses to Operate, Scale More Efficiently
AUCKLAND, New Zealand, Aug 27, 2009 -- Dell today announced the appointment of Mike Hill as its country manager for New Zealand. He will lead a team focused on providing the full range of Dell’s solutions and services to businesses across the country.
Hill has extensive experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining Dell, he worked as executive strategist with Virtuoso Group, providing support to SMBs that required specific expertise to achieve strategic growth. He also worked as HP’s Enterprise Sales director in New Zealand and in overseas- and New Zealand-based Enterprise roles with Compaq. He began his career at IBM New Zealand.
Joe Kremer, vice president and general manager for Dell Australia and New Zealand, and president of Dell’s APJ Public Business said, “Mike has spent many years listening to businesses of all sizes talk about the solutions they need to operate more efficiently and scale without breaking the bank.
“Mike also understands how to help businesses leverage our offerings to save energy and recycle in a responsible manner, which fits with Dell’s goal to be the greenest IT company on earth.
“When you put these attributes together with Mike’s proven leadership skills, we are confident Mike will lead a team focused on providing solutions New Zealand customers demand, whether direct from Dell or through the channel.”
Hill said, “I am delighted to be joining Dell and am excited about the prospect of helping more New Zealand businesses realise the unique benefits of Dell’s Enterprise solutions and services. The company’s strategy of wrapping modular services around its Enterprise platforms is very exciting, particularly as customers look for greater accountability and value from their vendors.”
